Our objective here at Invictus International Preschool is to help pre-schoolers derive the greatest value, pleasure and fulfilment from their childhood. Over the years, our IIP team of early childhood educators have worked to develop preschool programmes that can support the growth and development of children as unique individuals. IIP has the best teachers from the early childhood sector to observe children’s learning activities and then create teacher-directed instruction to complement the children’s interests in their early years and meet the learning expectations of the age. |
Pre-Nursery
Designed for young toddlers aged from 18 months to 2 years old, our Pre-nursery classes will focus on encouraging children to tap into their natural curiosity and explore their environment. At this age, they understand more than they can say and love to imitate others around them. With this in mind, a variety of inquiry-based hands-on activities will be introduced to foster language, emotional and social development. On top of that, effective learning strategies will also be utilised to support every child in developing mathematical thinking, enabling them to make sense of the world.
Nursery 1
At 3 years of age, children start to understand that their body, mind and emotions are their own. Their imaginations and language skills seem to get supercharged and they begin to build relationships. Our main objectives are for Nursery 1 children to develop their social and language skills, along with their ability to help themselves and to develop their independence. Classes will place emphasis on developing speaking and listening skills, and the exploration of numbers and shapes.
Nursery 2
Catered for children aged 4 years old, learning at IIP will focus on introducing and building strong foundations in Phonics, Maths and Science concepts. Four-year-olds possess a profoundly curious mind and are capable of soaking up the world’s knowledge at incredible rates. Ample opportunities will be provided for these young explorers to experiment on scientific ideas, explore mathematical skills & concepts, and apply phonics through storytelling sessions.
Kindergarten 1
For the 5 year olds, inquiry-based learning encourages our students to discover their talents and interests in a fun and self-motivational way. Classes are designed to further extend their knowledge and skills in maths and science while encouraging creativity. Language skills will be further developed through immersive experiences in quality literature and self-expression through writing.
Kindergarten 2
The IIP learning journey culminates in the final year of Kindergarten for children aged 6 years. The curriculum in this last year is designed to equip and prepare children for the challenges ahead upon graduation to ‘big school’. Classes will continue building upon a strong foundation in academic areas, cognitive development, and gross and fine motor skills as well as supporting our students' social and emotional needs. Children will learn to become more independent in experimenting and researching, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes for a confident start in the next level of their education.
